With sharp angular elevations and striking architectural design, the UK’s National Archives building is an impressive building to behold. However, with modern day open plan working environments and acres of glazed walls and ceilings, the architectural design provides unforeseen problems of allowing just too much light and heat in.

With such an iconic building and being a government funded institute, they required a practical shading solution which not only complimented the buildings architecture, but also provided a cost effective solution – This is where Shade Sculpture Interior’s division stepped in.

Working with their facilities management team and departmental heads, Shade Sculpture has designed and installed sail shading solutions that enhance the working environment.

This successful installation has now leaded to Shade Sculpture Interiors division being asked to fulfill further shade and acoustic based projects within the prestigious building.
