Tensile Membrane Structure Growing

With Tensile Architecture and Tensile Membrane Structure Growing both nationally and internationally, the North American construction sector is set to become the largest adopters of Tensile Architecture outside the Middle East and Asia. By having this North American office Shade Sculpture will be able to increase both its operational and international presence on the growing world market of Tensile Membrane Structure.

To date the American Tensile Architecture market has seen little in the way of competition, with only a handful of professional Tensile Membrane Structure companies holding offices in the growing region. Backed by and in conjunction with our strategic partners, at Shade Sculpture we believe the time is right to address and participate in what our research has confirmed will become a territory offing strong growth potential.

Ecological and Financial Efficiency of Tensile Fabric Architecture

For the American market, the Ecological and Financial Efficiency of Tensile Fabric Architecture provides not only some of the strongest reasons for adopting the uniqueness and construction methodology of tensile fabric architecture, but also significant assistance and conformity with local planning directives, unique to the United States of America.

The flexibility / adaptability of tensile membrane architecture has seen many American and Canadian corporations look to embrace the freedom which only tensile fabric structural architecture can offer. In fact one the world’s largest Tensile Fabric projects is in the planning, backed by one of America’s largest and most renowned organisations – Google.

The project currently being headed up by London based architects Thomas Heatherwick, the same designers behind the iconic London Olympics cauldron and, Bjarke Ingels one the most talented and visionary architects to come from Denmark, sees the project and concept look to push the boundaries in the way we use and think of buildings, and, how tensile architecture is perceived. This unique and inspiring piece of modern architecture, when it proceeds, will redefine the limitations and functionality of architectural fabrics such as ETFE and Tenara, as the proposed Google Campus looks to fully control its environment in and ecological way, whilst offering its inhabitants unrestricted growth and flexibility of space.

The following You Tube Link Google Campus gives us the first glimpse at the proposed Google North Bayshore Campus Redevelopment. In this clip you will hear the thinking behind the concept, from both Google’s Vice President of Real Estate – Dave Radcliffe and the architects chosen to take on this radical and inspirational challenge.
