Shade Sculpture Expansion – Tensile Fabric Structural Design Department

Shade Sculpture Expansion – Tensile Fabric Structural Design Department

Over the past year Shade Sculpture has invested heavily in its Tensile Fabric Structural Design Department. Investments including both Software and hardware; such as the latest 3D CAD tensile membrane engineering software and increased specification computers, capable of handing the inordinate processing power new tensile membrane structural programming requires. However, due to the significant uptake of Tensile Fabric Structures in the UK  Shade Sculpture has decided to invest further in its workload capacity. As such The Shade Sculpture Group is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Kinga Ciesielska as Junior Design & Engineer, working along side our Design Director Philip Musker to aid the organisation through current growth. Based at our new Design Department offices in Royal Wotton Bassett, Kinga will be undergoing her introductory to Shade Sculpture’s processes before continuing her Tensile Fabric Structural training, where hopefully she will soon be assisting on the various projects Airsuclpt is currently engaged in.

Kinga is formally qualified in Marine Design & Engineering but has always had a passion for architecture and the capabilities which Tensile Membrane Design & Engineering brings. Her willingness to embrace new technologies and design capabilities shone throughout her interview process, along with her eagerness help in the design and engineering of some truly amazing tensile architecture. To some this may be a surprise, but Tensile Fabric /  Tensile Membrane Designers are few and far between, due to the complexities which this field of design commands. Therefore Designers are required to have a strong understanding of both Architecture and Structural Engineering, with a creative flare thrown in. So to secure the services of an individual whom meets these exacting requirements is rare.

With this in mind we would like to give Kinga a warm welcome to the Shade Sculpture Group and wish her success in her new role !
